This 50 amp heavy duty PWM will run 3 HHO cells at
13-16 amps each.
This
is the MAX 50 amp PWM in a nice strong ABS box that
can be mounted easily with the mounting flanges on
the sides.
The
digital amp meter comes pre-calibrated at 40 amps
and uses a large 100 amp shunt mounted inside the
box. The 100 amp shunt will lose less than .4 VDC
at 50 amps and will not get hot like some 50 amp shunts
do.The
digital panel meter can be accurate within .2-3 amps.
The 2 fans are set up for 12-24
volts and and are extremely quiet when run at 12 VDC.
This
new box comes with a gradient label, so setting up
your cell has never been easier.
You
will love the cool green display that looks great
when mounted under the hood or on the dashboard.
The
shunt is pre-wired to the ground, so just remove the
top and connect the power wire and load.

If
needed, you can use the Scale Adjuster to calibrate
your meter.
This adjuster is fragile so be careful not to turn
it too hard. If you do, it could break and the adjuster
is not covered by our 30 day warranty. Use Only a
plastic phillips head screwdriver,
If you use a steel screwdriver and touch the heat
sink and the meter adjustment at the same time the
meter will burn out!
When
adjusting the the meter it is possible to go out of
range, if this happens the meter will stop working
so just move the adjuster back to where it was before
and the meter should work just fine again.
There
is some float at 0 amps but at higher numbers the
gauge can accurate
within .2 amps
It is best use a traditional amp gauge to help you
calibrate your digital amp gauge. To do this, connect
your analog amp gauge to the + wire of your cell.
Turn the cell on and set the digital gauge to read
the same as the analog gauge.
A
handheld VOM works fine for this also but will give
you a slightly lower reading because of the voltage
drop across the wire and the meter. Most handheld
meters are only rated for 20 amps for 1 minute, so
be careful not to leave it connected for very long.
